Default Min/maxing my lvl 2 monk splash

So I'm a wizard who splashed 2 lvls of monk so that I could get evasion (which is boosted by my insightful reflexes feat), better saves, an AC bonus, higher hit points, better melee ability, and access to some monk based skills (hide, move silently, balance, and tumble). I'm looking to hear from some experienced monk players on how I can maximize the 2 lvls of monk I have. Let's go ahead and assume I tan take a feat or enhancement or two to improve things.

    - How do I maximize my damage between spell casting? Right now I hotkey dual wielded kamas and attack mobs when I'm conserving mana on a standard fight. Will I do more damage with kamas, wraps, or quarterstaffs? They are all monk weapons so I stay centered and get extra attacks. Let's assume I can dual wield 1d6+2 Holy Kamas, use a 1d6+2 Holy Quarterstaff, or use 1d6+2 Holy Wraps....which will do more damage?

    - I currently don't use any ki abilities, stances, finishing moves, enhancements, or feats to boost my damage. From what I understand you have to use enhancements to enable stances - which uses your ki and enables finishing moves Are there any enhancements or feats that would substantially boost DPS, are available to a lvl 2 monk, and would make sense on a lvl 15-20 character?

    - What level of hide, move silently, tumble, and balance would you recommend to be effective end game (I only have 2 lvls of monk to try and maximize these so I really need to know what level I need to hit to be effective)

    - Any other recommendations to maximize my splashed monk (in context of being a wizard)?

Still looking for answers to the questions above. Was also looking for some targeted advice on feats like TWF, weapon finesse, and stunning fists...

TWF seems like a no brainer since it will double my attacks. Does the doubling of attacks work with all monk weapons (wraps, kama, quarterstaff)?

Should I get Weapon Finesse given that my strength is a dump stat (at only 8) and dexterity is 18? I don't want to get in a situation lvl 15-20 where I can't hit anything (wizards don't exactly get a lot of attack bonuses and I won't have all the monk enhancements and feats)!

Is Stunning Fist viable on end game mobs considering I'm a wizard and will not be beefing up the DC with any enhancements, nor will I beef up my Wisdom above ~24 (16 natural, +2 tome, +6 item). Will stunning fist work or will it be a throw away stat end game (i.e. resisted)?

    1. wind stance for attack speed and more damage
    2. two weapon fighting (works with all you mentioned except q-staff)
    3. I'd go unarmed (but keep some kamas just in case)
    4. wit 8 str definitely go finesse

that is about it , sorry. just be sure your character is lawful.

I'd recommend going 3 ,monk to pick up harmonious balance and fist of light. with low str your damage will be low meaning lots of attacks needed to kill with getting 1d2 health per strike that will help.

With being a wizard it all depends on where you have free feats or ehanccements.

--On enhancemens goto ddo wiki and look up the finishing moves. quick rundown
Water Light Water mana saving buff lasts for 1 minute aoe should stack
Fire Ligh Fire +2 buff to save, skills ,hits for 1 minute aoe should stack
plus others sadly ou have to get monk level 3 for fist of light
--But do go get way of the monkey gives you bonus to eflex saves and resists.
or can get theone thats gives ous to flanking whic would allow you to hit easier since you shouldnt be the tank.
--dont get stunning fist snce you wont have the monk lvls or is to increase the dc
--finessse and twf will help if you have the free feats

Oh...I like the mana reduction finisher. Let me get this straight...alll I have to select is disciple of puddles as an enhancement, get a 3rd level in monk to select the fist of light, then do water>light>water? Do I also need to be in the water stance or can I be in the air stance while I do water>light>water? Are stances something that is always active (i.e. like when I'm casting and running around), or is it only on when I do the attack? And does casting a spell in between the sequence ruin it (I'm aware the switching weapons, opening doors and chests, and other things do...just not sure on casting)?

Also since I don't have to actually hit anything I could do this right before a big fight so all my spells (and those of the party) cost 10% less...beautiful! I might just have to consider taking a 3rd level of monk to do this...

BTW, why the recommendation on wraps over kamas, wouldn't I get the same number of attacks with TWF and do the same amount of damage? Seems like the use of dual wield kamas we give me more versatility since I can select the magical enhancements to each kama, am I missing something?

Good call on picking up weapon finesse and not getting stunning fist. Do I need to get animal paths to execute the finishing moves? I was looking at the animal path bonuses and thinking my points might be better spent on wizard enhancements to spells...

TWF with wraps you take no minus to hit. TWF with Kama you get the normal -2 to both hands. Up to you.

Yes you could do that before a fight by meditating and executing the moves to get the Mana reduction. However I heard that you save 25% on mana now since mod. 9.
    Even better.

you can use any element strike in any stance or no stance so long as you are centered and have the ki.
I don't know about the casting but I would make an educated guess that that will break your chain.

as stated already no animal path required

can you cast dual wielding kamas?
    how about with wraps on?

You're probably right that casting will break my chain, would be nice for someone to confirm in game though. Also sounds like I need to go wraps instead of kamas to get my TWF bonus.

I can cast wielding kamas or wraps. But what I prefer to do is dual wield ice and fire lore daggers while casting to increase my spell crit. Then when I'm saving mana I'll go into monk mode and mele (I hotkey in dual kamas or wraps).

So in summary it sounds like I only need to spend 2 feats and 3 enhancement action points to make this monk splash really shine with my wizard. The two feats would be TWF (doulbe my attacks) and weapon finesse (strength is a throw away stat but my dexterity is high so this would help me connect on hits). The 3 action points would be for disciple of breezes (to enable wind stance and give me bonuses to my dexterity and attack speed), and disciples of puddles and fists of light (to enable the alingning of heavens finisher to reduce spell costs by 25%). Anything I am missing or you would recommend for this focused build?

It would be really nice if I could get ITWF and GTWF in addition to TWF, but I need the rest of my feats for wizard things. Are there any items in the game that carry TWF, ITWF, or GTWF (or for that matter 2 or all 3)?

Also, what level of hide, move silently, tumble, and balance would you recommend to be effective end game (I only have 3 lvls of monk to try and maximize these so I really need to know what level I need to hit to be effective).

    Tumble: 1.

    Balance 15-20

Hide/move silent...depends if you want to sneak. most people don't but some threads out there highlight the effectiveness of it.

I can confirm that casting breaks your chain but dragon marks do not.
