Price Check: +1 or 2 transmuting longbow and/or shortbow of pg (both ML 8)

Just need a PC. I see some Trans of pg weapons listed for ridiculous prices. Are they worth that much? Are bows worth that much too?

Bows aren't worth as much since any ranged or semi ranged character will have enough House D favor to buy silver arrows. Which does what the transmuting is doing, but can go on a better bow.

Players wanting a basic melee weapon to pound on Arraetrikos find Trans//Pure Good is the most common weapon that fits the bill - as such these weapons are valuable for players approaching endgame.

Players wanting a basic ranged weapon for Arraetrikos get much, much better results using a Silver Bow (from Church and the Cult, high drop rate, cheap on AH) with House D favor arrows. Plus, fewer players used ranged weapons due to the horrible rate of fire. As such, a Trans//Pure Good bow has little merit approaching endgame.


However, if you have no qualms about ripping someone off, try to sell it at a high-ish price. It just might move, just like Bursting of Puncturing Heavy Picks sell despite the heavy pick having horrid synergy with the Puncturing suffix.

Those picks sell due to casters haveing the hold monster/person spells. Other than dreamspitter, a bursting/puncturing pick was the best way to kill a held or stoned monster. With the change to puncturing though, I'd expect them to be much less popular than bursting of maiming.

Ahah. Thanks for the replies. It figures I'd pull two of these bows, instead of melee weapons. I thought maybe it would help that they were ML 8 for twinkage, though.
