How come your link gave me a pop up for Adult friend finder?
there's one thing you never put in a trap if you're smart. If you value your continued existence. If you have any plans on seeing tomorrow then there's one thing you never, ever put in a trap.

As for the change in name, I'd bet we see the old transmuting again in the future, but with a much higher minimum level value (+1 transmuting might be lvl 10 instead of the current 4). Or maybe even just on raid loot.

The reason for the name change is simple.. They added the Aligned property to some things, so its less confusing.

Old Transmuting = metals + alignments
    new transmuting = metals
    new metaline = metals
new aligned = alignements, (good, evil, lawful, chaotic)

pnp transmuting would cover the alignments too, but be slower.. In that the first roud it does not get thru dr, takes 1 round to transmute, then gets thru dr.. That tech doesnt exist in ddo, thus the changes for balance.

Shade, that's backward. They changed Transmuting because it covered too much.

Then, after being changed, it was pointed out to them that the new effect of Transmuting was Metalline in 3.% D&D so they changed the name.

There is a search function. Google also exists.

If you don't want to be told something has been said before, make sure your news is actually new. Otherwise, don't complain when you're told.

When things change, that aren't mentioned specifically in the change log, you should probably expect people to comment on them, and if you post "i already knew that", that's kind of a ****ish thing to do.

Add to that that the original post linked indicates that that should've changed in Update 1, but it did not, and it's not mentioned in the Update 2 changelogs, but it DID change .. then .. *** is wrong with people?

The version on Lamannia is Update 1. You are probably confusing Patch 1 (the one with the combat change) for Update 1.
