    In general

    Stats:
Str and Chr are most important.
Wis is a dump stat for paladins (seems silly but true).
Con should be as high as possible.
Dex is only required if going 2 weapon fighting.
Int is only required if getting Combat Expertese.

    Feats:
3 feats in either TWF or THF [1, 6, 12]
    Toughness [15 or 3]
    Imp Crit [9]
    Power Attack [3 or 15]
Extend (as many of you spells are short duration) [18]

[NOTE: Armor braces don't stack with other armor ie your full plate.]

If you want to save this character, I would change the feats to THF and Power Attack (or Toughness) and get the best Falcion I could find.

Personally I would re-roll to Str 16, Dex 10, Con 14, Int 10, Wis 10, Chr 16 and go THF.

Or more difficult go TWF. Much better DPS but requiring a +1 Dex tome before lvl 6 [Str 16, Dex 16, Con 12, Int 10, Wis 8, Chr 16]

    EDIT:
Buy Cure Moderate wands from marketplace vendor.
Experiment with when it is better to use a shield and block (compared to using 2 weapons/big 2 hander for damage).
Reset your Enhancements each time you level at first (as new ones become available, especially Divine Might, Bulwark of Good, Extra Lay on Hands and Exhalted Smite)

Jesus saves but only Buddha makes incremental backups.

    Lvl 5 Drow Paladin

    Stats:
    Str: 14
    Dex: 10 +1 (Gloves)
    Con: 12
    Wis: 14
    Int: 10
    Cha: 19 +1( Feat) +1 (Cloak)

    Feats:
    Improved Shield Bash
    Force of personality

    Equipment:
    +2 Adamantine Full plate
    +3 short sword
    +3 Mithril Heavy steel shield
Helm of flame (+ 20 SP, 20% effectiveness to lvl 2 healing spells)
Necklace of contemplation (+5 concentration, +10 hp, +1 Attk bonus)
    Neecha's bead ( +2 fort save)
Charismatic cloak of resistance ( +1 Cha, +1 Res)
    Disease Immunity Belt
    Ring of light fortification (25%)
    Dexterous gloves (+1)
    Boots of swimming (+3)
    Ring of bluff (+3)
    Armored Bracers (+1 AC)
    10 pts into Str 16
6 pts into Con 14 (12 after racial modifier)
8 pts into Cha 14 (16 after racial modifier)
4 pts anywhere else. Maybe Wis to 10-12 just because. (not recommended for the 'best builds' but hey if it makes him more playable by all means)

You can start with Str 17 or Cha 18 if you prefer.
Agree with other poster. Int if you want combat expertise, dex if you want 2 weapon fighting. If you want 2 weapon fighting you may have to drop str to 15 and pump dex to 14 (16 after racial).

Really high cha is mostly for middle to end game considerations...put most if not all of your level-ups into str. As long as you end with a 20 cha by end game you qualify for the tasty stuff.

Generally 2-handed fighting makes lower to middle levels less painful. Do have a decent single handed weapon and shield though for when you have to tank.

One thing I liked getting is toughness (feat plus the enhancements) and extra lay on hands (enhancement)...but your mileage may vary.

    Good luck!

I'd say an INT of 10 is required for non-Humans, since I don't think I would be able to do without UMD or Balance; it's not a choice I'd like to make there.
