Default What in Tarnation is a Previous Life Feat

Why do we need to ask for an explanation? You aren't giving us our level 20's on the Lama, and I don't think you're giving us TPs (at least not announced) so the only way to find out is to bust our humps to 20 on Lama, fiure out a way to get teh Wooden Heart, and figure it out?

    Couldn't you just tell us?

I think it was said that we get all our beta toons back. So if you was level 20 back in the beta prior, you will have level 20's in there.

As for the feat, I'd like to know what it means too. Very interested in finding out. But really, I think if it gets answered, it'll probably be in the True Reincarnation thread first. Since it's most connected to there rather than answering every thread that pops up.

In typical Turbine fashion the details are vast and mysrteious and someone on lama will have to be the guinea pig

Well if I had to guess, I would say it's just going to be a bonus feat that you get when you get reincarnated... maybe a previous life feat from your previous level 20? So a bonus feat from a selection of feats you had on your 20?

Sure, but the devil is in the details. For example, could the past life feat be something like evasion or even improved evasion? This would be a huge power up to subsequent builds. E.g. at the moment you need to drop 2 spellcaster levels to get evasion, but if its a past life feat suddenly you can be a level 20 sorc with evasion...

I really hope so - game balance, such as it is, would go out of the window if that kind of cheese was allowed.

My guess would be a normal feat that you can learn every 3 levels rather than a class feat that can be left behind on the new Reincarnated toon. I mean, I can see Level 20 Monks selecting Perfect Self and Diamond Soul for their Reincarnation to the new toon (whatever it is) and be at an extreme advantage over everyone and everything else. Especially by their second and last Reincarnation.

Mmmm..... Perfect Self with ANY Class.... *drool*

    *CONJECTURE*

I think that previous life feats are going to be additional feats that those who want to use true reincarnation like how a human gets an extra feat.

I mean i dunno this is just me musing here - but there has to be something else to justify more XP per level than just 2 extra stat points and a bigger model (if it is just for looks instead of an actual size differential, if you were classified as Large instead of medium think of how much easier it is going to be to intimidate things, remember intimidate works less when you are trying to intimidate something that is multiple size ranks larger than you) right?

To be honest the 2/4 extra build points are probably sufficient seeing that xp is not an issue in this game - levelling to cap doesn't take long, particularly if you put together a guild group to powerlevel there.

    *phew*

Was thinking everyone was gonna become Monks all of a sudden...

Although... I suppose the question is then, do we only get this once? Per reincarnation? So by the 2nd and final reincarnation, we still only have 1 bonus feat? Or do we get 2?

I think the previous life feats will be feats new feats unlocked after you reincarnate, based off of one of your prior classes. So for instance a wizard that reincarnates might have a feat that gives them some kind of discount to metamagics or something.

I'd really like for them to be bonus feats but I suspect that turbine would consider granting to bonus feats way more powerful than +4 more build points. So most likely they'll probably be rather lackluster feats that are available mostly for flavor like the dragonmarks.

    my guess

    rogue : 1d6 sneak extra
    wizard : extra spell pen
Barb : +2 more str while raging

not actual 'feats' but little things just for flavor
