    Default A Little Tech Help?

Ok so Im changing my graphics card, Im not the most technically minded folk either so bear with me here.

I remove the old cards drivers, shut down the computer, take all the cables out and take the old card out. I install the new card and reboot. But the monitor wont go on. It stays in powersaving mode.

So I remove the new card and hook up to the onboard graphics, go into BIOS to set it to onboard but all I see is Ext PCI, Ext PCIe and AUTO. Nowhere does it say onboard. So I set it to AUTO but whenever I have the new card in the slot I believe its trying to use that rather than the onboard graphics.

I cant download the drivers because it cant find compatable hardware because the monitor wont power on with the card in the slot.

Im sure its something Im doing and Im sure one of you builders out there can help me out.

    Windows XP btw.

    Ty in advance.
