whats the min Wis needed

Looking a Monk splash builds , dont know a whole lot about monks. But what is the minimum Wis for the AC benifit? is 8 Wis just pointless?

For Monk splashes, there's no minimum Wis per se. Even with a starting stat of 8, you can have 20ish at endgame (8 +4tome +6item +2 exceptional) which is basically a free +5 AC .

If you're a pure Monk, however, it's a different story altogether.
