    Default Handwraps question

Are they considered a two handed weapon?
    or two weapons?

And if they are considered two weapons, does the +1 AC from two weapon defense apply for them?

handwraps are one weapon that gets additional attacks from two weapon fighting, but without any of the penalties (to hit penalty, offhand half strength penalty, etc) or other benefits (two weapon defense, two weapon blocking, tempest, etc do not function with handwraps).

Think of them as a single-handed weapon that cannot be dual wielded that just naturally acquires double attacks if you have the twf feat chain.

They dont work under the standard rules.

Having twf + handwraps gives you twice the normal number of main-hand attacks with the handwrap in question, which is a significant advantage for handwraps (the lack of two weapon defense is nothing compared to getting full strength on all your attacks)

They are a single item (cannot have two of them or another single handed weapon), but are considered two-weapon fighting.

But do NOT benefit from TWF Defense.

It's totally true, I have a reliable source. You better reroll now.
