Help with Redemption (Cannith Manufactory)

Do I need to have a thief to progress in this quest or can I do it solo as a cleric?

I can't find the secret door and the room with the two metal doggies and a chest can't be unlocked.

you can solo it with your cleric,

you dont have to find the secret doors, and the locked cage with the dog's is an optional.

Go on past the door with the dogs/locked cage and you can go in to rescue Lars.....if you have turn the valve in the shrine room and turned all the valves/broke the three crystals.

the valve opens the door to the crystals in the ice jets

hitting all those valves lets you attack the crystals

breaking the crystals will drop a barrier in a previous tunnel that lets you continue
