Default A disturbance in the force!

Just wanted to express my relief and pleasure at finding a young kid, age twelve, that I had the pleasure to group with recently. He not once acted childish or immature and was extremly knowledgable with the games content, builds, and basic game knowledge in general. This young kid was even the party leader and ran our group, which did not consist entirely twinked toons, through an hard tangleroot run with party levels consisting of lv 3 - 4's. Inwhich I found out he has been playing for a year and I personally think that with his playing abilities he is deffinately end-game elite material. In my three plus years of playing DDO he is only the second kid that I have enjoyed gaming with. The first being a member of my own guild. Anyway, his guild Ash's of the Pheonix must be quit proud of him, and I look forward to grouping with him again.

Just cause your son was the first kid I enjoyed grouping with doesn't mean he will get the big head. Hell, both of them are more mature than you anyway.

I do believe we have had a discussion that his son was probably the most mature person in our guild.

He is.. As are his two brothers. I am just not sure if it is because of me, or in spite of me.

And Gorstag, I saw the "This threat..." slip up... Spelling? Or freudian slip?

Any young one that gets the "Gorstag seal of approval" must be something. He does not hand them out lightly. Two thumbs up for another young DDO genius.

I too have grouped with the member of our community mentioned by Domidar (the OP ) I ran a shroud with him and he really seems to have a good grasp of this game and how it works.

I hope he and his father continue to enjoy this game and I look forward to grouping with him again in the future

Dom rarely gives out positive praise to anyone let alone a child. Says alot about the child and the parent(s) bringing him up.

    *sigh*

How EVER will we deal with the "young one's" ego NOW!?!?!?!

Keeping in line with the topic, you remember what happened to Anakin, right?

    *shudder*

*this is not the thread you're looking for*

In all seriousness, though, thanks for the awesome post. Bart does a great job at keeping him in line when need be. I suppose being in the same house when playing DDO helps

I mean, it was either this, or he wind up as the next Dragonseis....

He is a good kid and a very good player. He knows that playing this game as a kid is an uphill battle. He's been trained from the beginning, like I was trained by good players who understood the social dynamics that provide the real challenge in this game. I am proud of him, and very proud to read this post. It means that he carries himself well when I'm not around (or in group), and does our guild proud too. I'll add in that, there are a number of guilds and specific players that have shared their DDO knowledge and cared enough to let him know that he might be "talking too much" or being "a bit too greedy" when a chest has been popped. All of those things have contributed to making a post like this possible. As guild leader (and father) I thank you for the post.
This is not the sig you are looking for.

HE isn't, he just acts that way. As do most of us in DWAT.

The only problem is that when he's in group w/o his Dad he cusses like a drunken sailor. It burns my virgin ears, but I'm more sensitive than most.

You sir are not delicate...in the slightest.

As for you Kraak, I am most certainly not the 12 year old Dom spoke of in our guild...like Arnn said, I just can't help but act that way ^.^
