Default Minimum level to 1750 favor?

I just started playing this game a week back and I would like to get to 1750 as fast as possible.

Here is the situation. I have a friend that played pretty hard core for the first year of DDO. He has a 14 fight with great gear which he used to get his 1750 back when it first came out. If he and I worked together with that character and just ran elites what would be the minimum level I would need to get to, to be able to survive enough dungeons to get 1750?

I tried searching for a guide but came up empty handed.
    My account is VIP.

Would rogue/cleric of some sort be the best class for this?

There is no minimum level required to get favor. Favor is just a point system given by each quest and you can theoretically get to max favor without ever getting past level 1.

I know a few players that have level 1 bank characters with a significant amount of favor. They just had someone pike their little lowbie mules through quests. I myself have a bank character that has over 150 House K favor at level 1.

You can probably succeed in your favor hunt with any class you want.

If you want to figure out which quests are giving the most favor than open your Adventure Compendium and click on the Favor column to sort by favor/quest.

People used to reach 1750 back when the level cap was 10, so even without getting power levelled through for favor, it is possible to reach it by 10-12. It all depends if while levelling you keep running the same popular quests or keep looking for new stuff.

Agree. Since then there are also quite a few new low level quests so it should be possible by lvl 10, provided all or almost all of them are done on elite.

Actually, is there a way to see how much favor a particular quest would give you on normal/hard/elite? It would be nice to have that in the favors window in the game, but I don't think you can see it unless you've done it already.
    Any nice list over this?

For example, if I wanna see how much favor Feast of Famine would give me on elite. Can I do that somehow?

Of course you will be very hard pushed to get that much favor as a free player. You need really to be vip to have enough quests to do. And as for gaining those points quickly, just get somebody higher level to run quests on elite with you. Whilst you wont gain xp you will still get the favor. For reference I've hit level 12 and have about 770 favor through normal playing (not trying to gain favor, just having fun).

There are some now. You can't get into stormcleave until lvl 5 for example. Even if you have a party member go into the quest first, you can't get in. So this info is a little outdated since some of the newer updates. (Sorry, not sure when they changed this exactly.)

Default how to determine favor for a quest

rowanheal has a link in her sig that points to her quest list that lists favor.

In game you won' t know how much favor something gives you till your first completion, then you can figure out how much hard gives by doubling the normal value or triple normal value to give you elite

LOL, back then at cap 10 1750 required all but two quests on elite... mmm, I should be busy getting all the girls favor capped again, be slow guess not as much priority.

I do remember my friend Leylia reaching 1750 by level 7 back at lvl cap 12... planned out and of course plenty of friends to open quests. Favor be a lot easier now ... VIPS may open new quests right away on hard (be prior mod nine you had to run norm to open hard) Plus the total favor out there way well above the 3k my girls sport now.

be to the OP... given that you're looking for 32 point builds, Had I ever to start from scratch again... I would run to 400 with a cleric class, then build a drow (either sorc, bard or wizard) and run the drow up to 1750. Really the first 400 is easy... You always be keepin' a well built drow and those particular classes (along with rogue) they fit very well in those class/builds...

I usually take my characters to 1750 by following a very simple plan/route.

    A) Do every quest that I can level 7 and below on Elite, excepting any that have sneak-fail components (Fail to do this thing, kill too many of that, the quest auto fails), and the further exception of Proof is in the Poison (too long) and The Pit (don't like it.)
    B) Do most quests with auto-fail possiblities on Norm or Hard.
    C) Do quests 8 to 14 on Hard, mixed with good exp, usually hit 1750 with level 14 or so.

There are LOTS of people out there with better, or more exact plans (Who love the Pit's 21 or so favor), but it gets me there, in my own, non-optimised way.

This is actually a pretty good guideline based on my own experiences. I actually had a static guild group for a while and our plan was to get as much favor as we could as we leveled. What we quickly discovered is that XP is easy to come by, especially if you're hunting for favor in the fashion described here.

What finally happened is that the group reached level 7ish and we not done doing everything once per difficulty setting in the lower level quests. Having reached that point we either had to temporarily forgo decent XP as we completed those low-level quests or give up and just keep leveling. Unfortunately that group kind of broke up after one player decided to leave the game for personal reasons and another got fed up waiting for new content back during our big dry spell.

This is effectively the technique I used to get my fifth character to 1750+ favor so I'm pretty sure it's a good way to go if favor is your goal.

Well, when the cap was 10, you couldn't level past 10 before getting your favor

My guy who's working on it currently is about halfway through level 15 and has 1560-some favor. Has done all the quests up to 7th level on elite (except Gladewatch outpost & Devil Assault), all 8th level on hard (except Faithful Departed), and all 9th and 10th level on normal (except Vault of Night). Has also done a scattering of higher level quests, but not much beyond 11.

Now that there are hard level restrictions on going to places like Gianthold, it's harder to get the favor without getting exp for it, but I'm sure it's still possible, especially if you have level 20 friends to make sure you get the powerleveling penalty for everything

Level 1 since now you will be able to buy the 32pt build for that favor anyway.

Sorry for reviving an old thread but wanted some clarification on one more thing:

Then entire 1750 favor has to be accumulated on a single toon, right? 350 favor spread across 5 toons doesn't cut it?

Yes - 1st time you get it you'll unlock the 32 point builds on that server... and every character (regardless of whether 28, 32 or TR 34 pointer) that hits 1750 will get a free +2 tome for whichever stat you want when you talk to Nyx
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

The +2 tome/manual is the only reason I get my toons to 1750 favor.

I recommend getting the +2 int tome if you plan to TR the toon.

    Why does that matter?
