    Default Lay on Hands

I have a question regarding the Warforged race and the Lay on Hands ability.

I have just started playing recently and originally created a human Paladin. Made it to level 3 and decided I wanted to make a Warforged instead. I liked the racial abilities and well... They look pretty cool.

So, here I am with my level 3 Warforged. He's doing great, however I have noticed that Lay on Hands doesn't heal him as much as it does my human Paladin. The difference is pretty large. A 20 or 30 point heal compared to 40 or 50.
Sorry I don't remember the exact numbers.

From what I have read the Warforged healing penalty doesn't affect Lay on Hands, so I'm wondering if that's recently changed or if there's some other variable I'm missing.

    Thanks

Your Charisma affects it. Since WF have -2 Cha, I'd guess your WF probably has less Cha than your Human did. Also your Human might have had the Human Vitality Enhancement, that increases incoming healing.

The basic Lay on Hands effect should be equally effective on Flesh or WF. IF it is doing 48 points to a fleshie, then it should be healing 48 points on a WF.

HOWEVER, that assumes all else is equal and that neither have anything that would affect how healing affects them.

The thoughts about lower CHA is a good one.

The LOH modifier is Cha based,

I run a WF pally as well, at lower levs keep a stack of Eagles Splendor potions or get your house P favor for the extended spell, this will help a lot in the lower levs.

WF make a great pally if you can get the right combo of stats.

I just checked on My DDO and my Warforged has a 14 charisma compared to a 17 on my Human, so that's probably it.

    Thanks for all the replies.

Thats most certainly it, I experimented with both a Human pally one with a 14 CHR and a 16 CHR and noticed a huge difference in LOH
