I remember someone mentioning the new acid and energy spells recently added, and this got me to wondering if energy/acid is as good as fire/cold to specialize in now? I thought it might be something different to do, since it seems everyone is fire/cold.

My only real complaint with acid/elec is that your highest level spell (chain lightning) is bugged to the point that I for one don't even cast it anymore. Beyond that, considering that devils don't have any lightning resists, I find it to be an excellent choice.

I didn't realize there was a firewall, Delayed blast fireball, and polar ray replacement. Does chain lighting function well now? If so, I may be in. However, there are enough enhancement points to focus in 2 - 3 areas. Turbine was also kind enough to free up 2 action points normally reserved for a functioning capstone.
