    Default Technical Assistance

    I got a response!

Thank you for contacting Turbine support. Just to test if you bypass your router and connect your PC directly to your ISP's modem does this issue still occur? (Be sure when testing this that you power cycle the modem and reboot the PC and upon rebooting check first that you can connect to the internet in general before launching the game to test)

    Thank you,
    The Turbine Customer Service Team

Umm...but how do I do what they suggested?

Kurokami, your post has been moved to a new thread in the Technical Assistance Forums. The post that you kept responding was not related in any way related to your issue, and this forum was recommended more than once. Please do NOT continue to post in the stop sign post as your issues are not related to that in any way.

What you want to do is take the cable that goes from your PC to your router and disconnect it at the router, then take the cable that goes from your router to your ISP's modem and disconnect it at the modem. Reconnect your PC directly to the modem, reboot the modem and the PC (for the modem just turn it off, wait 30 seconds, turn it back on).

    You're basically going from this:
    [Computer] >network cable> [Router] >network cable> [Modem]
    To this:
    [Computer] >network cable> [Modem]

Once you've rebooted the PC first just check that you can still connect to the internet generally by launching Internet Explorer and trying to load a website. If that works then launch DDO to test its connection. Definitely follow up with Technical Support as troubleshooting connection issues like this can be much more in-depth than can be done on the forums.

But what do I do if my connection is a wireless one? There aren't any cables to disconnect.
