    Default monk feats

    Hi Folks,

Just wanting some input on monk feats as I tried to build one once before but was not too succesful.

I am looking at a TWF human monk and was wondering what the best options are assuming I will only use handwraps and kamas.

    My current feat selection is
    TWF
    Toughness
    Stunning fist
    dodge
    mobility

    Current stats are
    STR 17
    DEX 16
    CON 14
    INT 8
    WIS 16
    CHA 8

Any advice would be appreciated. Also is spring attack a waste of time for a non-tempest build?

    Thanks in advance.

spring attack isn't worth it on a pure monk . If your using handwraps an have to chase down mobs , with or without spring attack you still only get half your attacks while running around . the marginal to hit gains with spring attack isn't worth the feat slot on a monk .

An alternative feat you might want to consider instead is Power attack . With a pure monk using handwraps you have power attack applied to both main and off hand flurry of blows unlike a normal twf melee'r who only get pa applied to the main hand .

plus as a monk you can also use a Q staff two hand weapon and bring up some nice damage numbers with power attack as an option and it will not place you uncentered .

the twf , itwf, gtw feats are definitly beneficial on a pure monk .

the rest of your feats are solid . the stat distributions good too . Welcome to monk an enjoy your time playing one ^.

If you aren't going to pick up Spring Attack (because running and swinging only gives you 2 slow attacks), you might as well swap Mobility as well, since that's just +4 AC "while tumbling"... unless you like to tumble a lot while fighting.

I tend to only tumble away from AOE, like giant stomps.

I am pretty sure that PA applies to both weapons while twf all the time not just for monks. Balanced for THF by doubling the pa bonus.
