To anyone else who has been helping out and getting frustrated a break really does help a lot.

BTW the harbor seems to have calmed down quite a bit and players are not as nasty there anymore. Perhaps they are finally being weeded out.

I've been getting frustrated lately.

It's not that the harbor has calmed down -- it's that they've moved into the marketplace and four houses. Also, some (after a month's play) are answering Advice as per "I R KNOW IT ALL." I tried to explain why I was requesting in the advice channel for an elite opener to group with me so I could go straight to elite into INFO IS KEY for more xp. They proceeded to tell me NHE is most xp, and that advice channel isn't the right channel to ask for help. (hmmmm.....)

I to have been trying to help new players but some of these people will flat tell your wrong or worse when you try to help them, I keep general chat on as long as I can but usually after about 20 min I have to turn it off or log off. I have found some really nice new people lately but also found some real tools, overall I hope that f2p will help our game more then hurt it.

Bloody thing I feel bad about... is be given misinformation only serve to mar recipients and likely the reputation of those who impart such. Be many a new player do not relate to cause and effect of actions. They appear to believe all mistake quickly and easily correctable or attribute little to effect of their actions.

As an example… I was in a lowbie Von 5-6 last night – mostly people who’ve never been… I could tell though one or two had been there a couple of times or had some knowledge of the quest, - yet did not seem to be complete. I must say they all played and executed Von 5 near perfectly, A mishap here and there and a little slow but my intent was to endow all of them with both a sense of accomplishment and also impart them with as much knowledge of the quest as I could …

Before the end fight of von five I had the mana pools shrine and recharge – stipulating this be the point of no return - Explicitly noting – noone is to talk to the dwarf as the door will close and there be no way back nor will there be any shrines upon entering Von 6. Shrined up, I explained the fight and we took down the Von 5 end-boss quite easily… even considered our low dps and real lack of powerful healing. Was executed beautifully.

I then talked about Von 6 before we entered… They were all excited and in awe of the graphics and settings. I stated all FF be off as shall you bloody fall there will be no returning back. I presented a few options on dealing with the pillars and we went forth with them. We had a little trouble but rectified and brought down the pillars opening the door.

I walked to the mound… stated come to me and mind your way once here, I explained who was going to charge and where our support was to be, I explained to stay within sight to avoid initial spawns and as we placed myself, the other healer and support into position to support the charge … one person went about – most likely too enthusiastic – hoping around behind the rocks spawning 5-8 mob quickly upon us all and activating Vellah. I made some effort to adjust the situation but it was too late given the power and effectiveness of the party in utter bloody chaos.

The person responsible then tell’s party - "We’ll just recall and come back in." Of course I state "it be a wipe … von 5 must be redone again and I stipulated this at least a number of times." His response was – "That’s just stupid other quests allow it." My response was – "this be your first real raid is it not? "

I assume the resposibilty for such as I left my guard down in confidence of the group treating the pleasant nature and cooporation of the whole in general upon how wonderful they all played until that point. I feel we still did accomplish a lot … I may have instructed but they carried the ring, the voice, solved the floor puzzle, turned on the power, disposed of the coffer, attained the key … etc… in essence it be they had completed Von 5 and they made way to the mound… All in all they be experienced raiders now. I walk away now with the satisfaction that the next Von 5-6 or any other raid I know of another eleven people I can count upon...

I'm back answering questions again for the last few days. I've decided to limit my time somewhat so I have also been exploring the battlegrounds. That place is really cool. I think I better get a few raids under my belt soon. Hey Aranticus calling in my raid token
