Admin->Settings->Writing: Remote Publishing?

Admin->Settings->Writing: Remote Publishing->XML-RPC
Are we allowed to enable XML-RPC or Atom Publishing Protocol?
Are these features disabled? If so why?

I thought I would try and learn "Window Live Writer" and see if it would make blogging easier on myDDO.

I installed and ran the connection wizard using "http://my.ddo.com/tacktics/" as the blog address and get this message.

XML-RPC servicses are disabled on this blog. An admin user can enable them at "http://my.ddo.com/tacktics/wp-admin/options-writing.php"

I went into admin and writing and find the enable XML-RPC check box.
Every time that I check it and hit the Save Changes button I get a Settings Saved message but the check box becomes unchecked and Live Writer gives the same error.

I have tried this in FireFox 3.5.2 and IE8 with site trusted.

Can anyone help me on this issue?

I'm actually having the same problem. Today is maintenance day, though, so I'll give it till tomorrow to work.
