Why not make the run speed always work, like the silver flame reward, instead of having it on a clickie?

I had read somwhere that the Pendant basically is a one-use item like a Tome and you just use it once and the in-town movement enhancement stays with you. Well I just got the pendant and am quite disappointed that it's a clicky! Sad panda.

Definitely.

If that is not allowed, please at least make the pendant usable from the inventory (like a potion that doesn't get consumed) rather than a trinket.
2-5 charges/day would be nice as well.
The easiest option by far would be what the OP suggested though.

Seriously, how can it hurt the game for players to be able to travel a bit faster in the public areas? save me RL time to get to the quests, repair, sell etc,

This was all said three years ago. The devs don't give a **** about it. I think most people feel the same way about it, but nothing is ever going to happen about it.
