Default Application has generated an exception...

When I try to run DDO, I get this error:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

    Process id=0x128 (296), Thread id=0x12b0 (4784).

Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling .NET and SP1 hotfix and that didn't work. I've also disabled my firewall and added file exceptions. I realize that everytime I try to run the program, I get different "Process and thread id" numbers. I'm currently running on Windows Vista Home Premium x64. This is also a relatively new laptop so specs shouldn't be an issue.

    PLEASE help. Thanks.

Have you tried tech support? They are generally pretty responsive.

I've tried but they haven't responded yet. Was wondering if anyone got the same problem I do.

    any resolution to this?

I have a friend experiencing this issue, trying to get it resolved.
the game ran great before his HDD crashed and burned. now after a rebuild he gets this error consistantly.
