Default A little guidance needed for a build

I am attempting to start a new cleric and could use some help with ideas. I am planning to dual wield shortswords and rapier as a drow with weapon finesse. I want the character to be able to be flexible between solo and playing with a small group of friends. I am wanting to pick up evasion so I want to go either two monk or two rogue. I want my character to be able to cast effectively when playing with my friends and when solo using summon monster to create a friend and drop some debuff like command while going in swinging.

I planned to go monk because I would have a good wisdom and dexterity, plus toughness and dodge. But since my play style will involve using a summon or friends to try and flank i am thinking the rogue would be good for the 1d6 sneak attack and extra skill points.

My stats are going to be
    12
    16
    12
    10
    16
    12

I did think about a favored soul or bard but i really want the flexibility of being able to change spells. I understand that a build like this will not be superpowerful and the TWF will be feat intensive but I think I will have fun with it, just cant decide which way to go.

Looks like an ok build. Monk does have a lot of synergy with cleric due to the WIs bonus to Ac. As a rogue your ac would be pretty bad. You would have trouble keeping your rogue skills up with that INT btw.

Is that an elf or a halfling?

Also monk would give you two feats on a feat starved build.

I would go Monk in order to get the 2 extra feats, this build is gonna need.

L1 Monk: Feat: TWF and Toughness for Monk Feat
    L2: Monk Feat: Weapon Finesse
    Rest of the way Cleric
    L3: Extend Spell
    L6: Quicken
    L9: Improved TWF
    L12: Improved Crit Pierce
    L15 Greater TWF
    l18: Maximize Spell

You can play around with the progression of Extend, Quicken, Maxamize if ya like, but thats wat I would do.

Thanks a lot for the responses. I have one additional question which is about the leveling progression. Is taking the monk first level that much better than taking cleric first level? I fully trust your advice but I am just trying to figure it out. I believe that going monk first would cause me to lose spell points at the cost of a few skill points. Are those skill points going to make that much of a difference in the long run.

I know that going cleric and then two monk would cause me to be unable to get weapon finesse till third level but I would at least have some healing and the ability to use turn undead(or at least limited use with a 12 Cha) in a starting area with a large amount of undead.

I am just trying to understand the reasoning behind the level progression. Am I missing something or am a under or over valuing something?

Thanks again for the wonderful advice.

the way he listed it out takes max advantage of Feats, and skill points.

and if you have access to favored soul, you mite want to rethink as a fvs/monk is a very potent build. not being able to change spells on a whim is not that bad just plan out what you want to end up with. also realized that some spells are helpful at lower levels and are not necessary in the middle level range, just have to pay to get them changed.

    GL and have fun
