    Default Can Turbine POints be purchased with PrePaid Visa/Mastercard

    My little brother wanted to play the game and add a few characters and advantages with turbine points. He recieved a prepaid visa .. basically a giftcard visa.. he tried to you it to purchase points and it did not allow him to .. is that normal and does ddo plan to adjust that in the later run?

    I would think that as long as it is a generic Visa Giftcard, it should function just like a credit card. Just add it as a credit card to your account by filling in the type/number/exp. date, etc.

    If it is a gift card to a particular store however, I don't think that will work.

    I hear many people recommend the "Green Dot" Prepaid Visa cards as a good choice if you don't have an actual credit card. I'm thinking that they are probably handled the same way as the Visa gift cards...

    You might want to fire off an email to customer support and verify.

    **Edit: You also might want to check that Gift Card and see if you have to activate it first. Sometimes there is a number you have to call and activate the card before first use.

    I use a pre-paid visa to pay for my subscription. Its the greendot one from wal-mart. Basically if the card has your name on it you can use it. If it is just a generic visa gift card with no name on it you can only use those where you swipe the card. They do not work for online transactions.
