From VIP to Premium. Char slot question

I had a VIP account, i have 10 characters. I had to cancel my account for a time, though I intend to come back to VIP in a few months. In the meantime I still want to play here and there.

Anyway, I had to pick 4 characters of my 10. I wanted to make a new character so i decided to buy another slot... I wasn't sure if i would get an empty slot or have to pick 1 from my list... it was the latter so i got to re-pick my characters and i ended up with 5.

My questions are these: When i become a VIP again, will I have an open slot? A total of 11 on my server instead of the 10 standard? Or was this a waste of money in the long run as I will be stuck with 10 when i re-subscribe?

or maybe there is a better place to ask this question than this forum?

Any purchased character slots are added onto the base number for the account. So you'll go from having 5 (4 base + 1 extra) as Premium to 11 (10 base + 1 extra) as VIP.

OK, i decided to spend some of my points on content. I picked up the Vale so i could shroud, hound, vod, and i got the new high level content. Its kind of a waste considering im going back to VIP... but what else am i going to do.

now, if i go VIP as planned but then have to go back to premium sometime (not planned) are those previously purchased adventure pack going to be there for me?

Yes. Any of the stuff that you purchase while Free/Premium you get to keep forever. So if you go VIP and then back to Premium several times, you will still have the purchased content and character slots, etc. (Please note this does only apply to permanent purchased access, not one-time passes.)
