Annoyance at lost subscription rate

I discovered today that I lost my "special" subscription rate. I was on the 6 monthly $9.95 rate that was advertised a long time ago, and it appears that when my credit card expired, the subscription was automatically lost since it could not be renewed.

It then automatically placed me into F2P mode, and then when I put in my new credit card details, I didn't have the option for the $9.95/month rate.

I'm a bit annoyed at that. I would have hoped that it would have been smarter to send a warning saying that the subscription could not be renewed, giving us an option to put in new details, and maintain our subscription instead of automatically assuming we are downgrading, and then charge me a higher rate.....

Really dumb,.... definitely not pleased.

I would ask, but it will probably not happen, but I would appreciate if I would be moved back onto the $9.95 as a long time continued subscriber (i.e. I never ever suspended or left my account from when I subscribed, years ago) because I never planned to not be a VIP... but, wishful thinking huh. ~fumes at Turbines poor account system~

Forget all of that above.

When I went to fume at my account details some more, the old option appeared on the new page with a green "special" next to it.

It appears that it assumed I was new first, then when I returned, it re-offered me the option of the old $9.99 subscription (not $9.95).

So, thank you Turbine, making it a bit more clearer to start with though might be more helpful.

I was going to say they would proably let you have back if was due to an expired card as well all forget when thats going to happen sometimes or as in my case I had a couple of cards I almost never use get canceled, just as well I dont need that many cards. Anways glad you got your rate back.
