Here is the build I am working on for when I get my 32pt builds. I don't have access to the character builder at work since they block games related stuff (the forums for ddo don't get tagged as game related) so its alittle messy and such. I don't really understand all the endgame equipment and stuff so I was wondering if anyone could look this over and give some comments.

Have you taken a look at The Valenar Crusader? It's a very detailed and optimized plan for an elf hate-tank with the same class levels.

But perhaps more importantly: What are the goals of this build? How do you plan to play it? Why have you chosen each of: Elf, Paladin splash, and Dragonmarks?

For example, if you are mainly interested in a DPS build, then I'm going to suggest The Monster -- Ranger 6 adds way more DPS than Paladin 6. If you're looking to tank, then I'm going to suggest taking a look at The Hurtlocker, the aforementioned Valenar Crusader, and the Hate Monster, each of which has some elements in common with your plan.

But I suspect you may have goals that are more complex than just "DPS" or "tank," and I'd need to know what they are to advise you most productively. Also, are there any "role playing" related parameters for you? For example, maybe you want to be an Elf just because you want to be an Elf. Anyone wanting to advise you would need to know that.

Sorry, should have stated that stuff.

The idea was to be a displacement two weapon fighter with decent to good AC and saves.
I am mainly looking for some insight on equipment and maybe shuffling around some enhancements, feats or stat points and such.

To my way of thinking, Displacement is of greatest value to those with poor AC -- slowing down incoming damage enough to not be a burden on healing resources. When you have good-to-excellent AC, it's less important. I've also been told by more than one power gamer that Dragonmark Displacement is a poor investment come end-game because you can make Displacement clickies from the Shroud.

But regardless, this build has no means to hold aggro, doesn't provide any significant party benefits (like big aura, songs, spells, etc.), and therefore I claim it should be judged mainly on DPS. But it's DPS is significantly less than optimized DPS builds (I think!). So I think you either want Ranger instead of Paladin, for more DPS, or you want to put some focus on aggro-holding, which basically takes you straight to Valenar Crusader.

Take a look at VC and see if there are any aspects of it you don't like. You could probably superimpose Dragonmarks onto it at low levels, and then perhaps respec to the base VC plan at higher levels.

Default Kenai II, Defender of Siberys I

If your not stuck on Race and are not concerned with the end all be all DPS build but a very capable and survivable build with good DPS, very good AC, excllent saves and Self Healing via dragonmarks you can look into this build. http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=201072

Whatever you decide - good luck!

Thanks for the replies. Ill look at each of those. I think I understand now. The displacement marks really aren't that great and without the hate holding abilities its best for tempest to improve dps.

    Thanks
