    Default Mouse button

I want to set my right mouse button as move forward, but it wont allow me to. I can set my mouse wheel to do so though. Any ideas how to set it up that way?

I can't think of a situation where anyone has even given that idea a thought or tried it. Seems a bit absurd to me when using the keypad to move forward, back, etc is so easily done but to each his own I guess.

set forward to.. what is it.. mouse button 1?

now mind you, if it doesn't stick, it then falls into the known issues of "my settings won't stick" as is apparently with default buttons for auto run and the ddo store.

Is there an ini sheet or config wordpad or something that I can set that in? It wont let me set it by clicking it, so maybe I can do it by setting it there.

personally, there are times when I'd like to be able to mouse-steer-move by holding down both left and right buttons (mainly when I'm semi-afk, as in drinking with one hand, grabbing a snack, etc).

Is there somewhere we can look to find how to reconfigure the contents of a .keymap file? I don't seem to have an option to open in wordpad.

I, too, want to use right and left simultaneously to move and steer. Been used to that for years with other games and this is the first one that doesn't let me choose this option in mapping.

    Thanks in advance!

    Thumbs down

I too would greatly appreciate the ability to walk forward using the right mouse button. Manually editing the key configurations through the DDO.keymap file doesn't seem to work. Why, oh why would anyone put such restrictions on the two mouse buttons?

I know this doesn't help your problem, but I use a mouse with more buttons on it and program one by my thumb to autorun. If you can't solve your problem this might be a consideration.

That is exactly what I have done for the time being. I am just trying to decide if my thumb or pinky finger button would be most comfortable. Hopefully there will soon be a fix for the restrictions place upon the mouse buttons.

If you are unable to open it in wordpad, you need lessons in basic windows. (either that or you don't have the rights/privilages to access the file.) The file is a simple text file with an odd extension for DDO.

As for the second, as far as I know you are unable to do that in this game.
