Black screen- A comparison of two laptops. weird.

[I still have not found a solution for this black to white screen problem]

So....I've had the same black screen problem where I chose my server and it says loading and starts up the game with a new window. It goes black and if i click the actual window it goes white. It was running on windows aero and I changed it myself to basic and did all that stuff about Alpal322.dll thingy. MY GAME HAS NOT WORKED AT ALL ON MY LAPTOP, NOT EVEN CHARACTER SELECTION.

Anyways, I found a very weird thing. My bro's laptop a fujitsu with ****tier specs than my asus gaming laptop, was able to run the game fine. While me on the other hand has the screwed up version. I used the same specifics too, both size of the game and what not. As of right now though, I am still downloading the wilderness portion of the game. I hope that's not the reason why it's so buggy.

The only thing I have not tried is to uninstall all the hardware such as mouses and what not. I don't really know how to do that.

I am just very agitated that my bro's crappier comp can play a game mine can't

you might want to check to see if Asus has newer drivers than June 2008 first. Especially on the audio ones. Sometimes the Laptop manufacturer will have custom drivers modified for the specific laptop.
