My character still does not move from his comfortable spot! The graphics are smooth and he has no problem 'turning' left and right but he just doesn't strafe; even when I seperate the keys I can still make him turn but not strafe. In other words, I can do anything on the game as long as I'm stood on the spot I start on in the 'beginners' server... by the docks.
What's going on? Why can't my character move from that spot? Even with the graphic resolution at the lowest its the same result!

There is a glitch with movement where you can get stuck on the spot.
Hold SHIFT + W to tumble, this should break the glitch.
It's really annoying and has been in game since mod 2 or earlier
