    Default Troubleshooter's Goggles/Necklace

Hi. I just got my hands on both Troubleshooter items, but the combine AC boost effect isn't working. I stripped down completely and then put both items on and my AC does not increase by 1. The individual effects of the items work fine. Is this a bug, or is there another explanation?

    Thanks,
    -Scott

According to the item description I saw, the Set Bonus for the Troubleshooter set is to saving throws, not armor class. It also looked like it might be the same bonus type as found on Resistance items, so it wouldn't stack with those.

The Trouble Shooter set bonus does give a bonus of +1 to AC. However, the reason you may not see it is because of a display bug in the character sheet. Try stripping down and putting the items on as you did before. Then close the character sheet and reopen it. You should see your AC increase by 1.

    No it does not.

    From loot guide:
Troubleshooter's Necklace - (Necklace) Set Bonus (+1 Resistance (stacks), Open Locks +3, Disable Device +3), Dexterity +1, Resistance +1

One of the weaker sets being nothing on it stacks except the the +1 bonus to saves.
Other sets like the +2 to hit do indeed stack with everything.

You sure the +2 to hit neck stacks with tumbleweed? The bounus type is named the same. I am thinking that it should not.

Scratch that. I was correct. I just logged on to my lowbie rogue who is wearing the set and the Troubleshooter Set Bonus does in fact give a +1 to AC. They may changed it with mod 9. I also took them off and put them back on and you won't see the AC change until you close your character sheet and pull it back up again as I previously stated.

    Just FYI

That phenomena is not unique to just those items. A lot of other changes do not auto update on the character display until you open and close the display.
