    Playstyle: Ranged Trap Monkey utilizing Assassin's Focus: Thoughtburn (prevents spell casting for a short time) and Enthrallment. With +5 force arrows and many shot combined with bow strength and any sneak attack bonuses, ranged DPS should be up there.

    Advantages: Superior Haggle, Open Lock, Disable Device, Perform, and UMD skills. Decent saves, Bard Buffs and Greater Heroism. Good wand / scroll healing. All around utility character.

    how do you expect to take Arcane Archer without the Weapon Focus: Ranged?
    PS: Greensteel RUINED the game! and you all know it!
    less buffing, more nerfing!!!

    Good catch and corrected. 3.1 character planner did not have that requirement built in.

    I think you will be severely disapointed with assasin1 if you are taking it for the thoughtburn poison. It doesn't work on the monsters that matter (red and purple named bosses), and nothing else lasts long enough to bother using it.

    On my own assasin, I stayed mechanic until lvl 12.

    I have a feeling the living spells will be immune either because of immunity to sneak attacks (they are oozes, and stuff immune to sneak attack is immune to crippling strike, so likely would also counter the assasin poisons which are only applied on a sneak attack), and possibly an immunity to poison.
