Free Weapons for Brand New Players

I have a bunch of decent Rapiers/ShortSwords and a couple daggers level 6 and under, most with Burst or Holy effects.

Im never leveling a Melee lowbie again, and thus would like to pass these off to someone who is new to game and who could really use these but can't afford them on the AH.

Great idea, Hex. I saw this thread the other night, and decided to do the same thing (sort of). I took a bunch of lowbie elemental weapons and mithral armors, and announced in general chat and in LFM that I was hiding somewhere in the harbor. The first person to find me and open a trade window would win a prize. It would usually take a little bit for someone to find me, but it seems to have made a few new players happy. The new players really go nuts over the +1 tomes. I might have to start making them fight to the death in the Lobster pit for them soon. :P

That +1 Tome giveaway is a good idea. I have a few +1s still in the bank. Didn't even think to offer them to the masses. Might clear out some bank room anyway.

Just a note, I have been giving stuff away, or seriously undervalued, for a long time. And I always felt great, especially when it was to new players. I knew I wasn't the only one doing it, but this thread shows there are more than you think of us that share simply because sharing is good.
