I was reading some guide on leveling spots etc, and a guy said "remember don't level up past level 2 until oyu have enough experience for level 4"
Just wondering why this is?

that was cause befor mod 9 if you were lvl3 and doing a lvl2 quest, you got -10%xp
now with mod9 that changed and beeing lvl3 doesnt give any penalty, about lvl4 im not sure0Love Life of an Ooze: One ooze. Idiot hits ooze. Two oozes.

Previous to mod9 (EU), you would get a bonus for completing quests that were above the level of your highest level party member. That is no longer the case, so the guides which state not to level are outdated.
If you plan on doing quests below your level, depending on the scenario you might be best holding back so you do not take quest penalties.
As of now:
2 levels above current quest level -10%
3 levels above current quest level -35%
4.. -50%
