    Default sorcerer/fighter (low dex)

    trying to build a sorcerer/fighter multiclass

    first i was fiddling around with sorc/pala and TWF, but since theres a strength enhancement for fighter and bonus feats I'll choose that path

    goals: decent DPS, but also some manipulation-style (not necessarily soloable, but some kind of sorc-allrounder) and the ability to stand meele-combat

    so i tried lil bit and got this...

    For such a combination all other races pale in comparisation to the warforged race. The niceimmunities, and most important, self-healing makes a huge difference for such a inherently difficult combination.


    Also what do you want with this multiclass?
    * Fighter with some spells?
    * Mage with some melee capabilities to fall back to?

    Different answers will lead to vastly different build advice.
    Erzskalde (Warchanter) / Erzassassin (just passing through - ignore me) / Erzsoldat (waiting for TR-time) / Erzschmied (ranged Artificer)

    definitely the second way

    im not going to solo with this build and it should not be the primary group-tank. its just an adjusted sorc with enhanced melee capability, but it should last a while if aggroed

    i also thought of raising diplomacy...

    basically im not very sure about the abilities... maybe const 14 is too low but without 18 strength and not many fighter-enhancements chosen i wont hit much

    i also thought about warforged, but cause i dont wanna just build a fighter with some spells (sorc should be 18 or 19) the drow seemed to have the best ability-adjusment + those enhancements that lower spell failure for armor

    but i'm open for warforged-builds as well...

    If you mainly play in groups, Drow will be fine, to melee in certain occasions.

    In this case you should stay pure Sorcerer, so not to loose the Capstone enhancement, and to not take a noticeable blow to your ability to beat Spell Resistances of monsters, which is a relevant issue in level 16+.
    Get your melee capabilities through Master´s Touch and Divine Power clickys. Displacement, Rage and Stoneskin on yourself, use a 2-handed-weapon and you can deal some damage in melee, if you have a reasonable base STR.



    P.S.
    Kick those Mental Thoughness feats, they are not very cost-efficient on a Sorcerer.

    if you need to splash two levels on a melee class, i'd go paladin, since a sorc has high CHA, you'll get very nice saving throws, the Concentration aura (if there is no other pally around), +1 CHA from the pally enhance line
