Plz help. Resolution Problem.

Ok I'm not sure this is the right place to put this in but i didn't know where else to put it. I have a problem with my screen resolution in DDO. I currently play in 800x600 but i think that is too small because everything i open up, like my inventory for instance, takes up my whole screen. So i increased it to 1024x768 but i get extreme amounts of lagg. I tried other resolutions but the same thing happens. So can a player or maybe even a Mod tell me if its my pc or a glitch (I'm pretty sure It's my pc). Also if it is my pc can somebody tell me a way to increase my resolution with out getting lagg b/c its really annoying when i get a trade from the friend, and the trade screen and my inventory are the only too things that I can see on my screen. Sorry for such a long post but i really need some advice/help. Thanks.

Well please post all details of your system, including, CPU, RAM, OS, Video Card and monitor size.
Also any driver version too, including playing game in DX9 or DX10.

Increasing resolution will always result in a relatively slower performance. When it gets too low it will be very apparent due to the low number of frames per second. Be sure to turn off all the high-end settings in the 'advanced graphics' tab - anti aliasing, vsync, dx10 entities, shadows, reflections, post processings etc.

some other checklist :
make sure thers nothing running in the background
turn antivirus off ( not recommended unless you know what you're doing )
update ur gpu drivers
