attack speed since patch

Syllexys' attack speed seems alright... maybe a tad bit slow unbuffed, but that could just be the haste crack withdrawl symptom.

I actually seem to like the new system, just not the speed at which it was implemented.
Equalizing all styles = good (obviously there are separate balancing issues, but attack speed is no longer an issue)
Slowing down all styles = very, very bad

From cforce's attack speed thread:
BAB 13: TWF:88, THF:91
BAB 16: TWF:83, THF:81

From my recent testing
BAB 13: TWF:77, THF:77
BAB 16: TWF:79, THF:79


From this we can see that a BAB 16 THF has lost about 2.5%, while a BAB 16 TWF lost about 5%.
A BAB 13 THF lost about 15% , and a BAB 13 TWF lost about 13%


Indeed this was a severe nerf to low BAB classes

Another test on lvl 20 rogue, 15 bab.

Tried both madstone boots and divine power clickies, the temporary bab increase to 20 didn't yield any faster attack rates, partial bab melees are royally hosed now. (tested with haste on all the time to outweight the melee allacrity of madstone which would be a sideffect).

Really? I'm getting ~78 attacks per minute at BAB 15 and ~81 attacks per minute at BAB 20 when using standard weapon styles. No extra attack speed was used.

it seems that madstone is granting the attack speed of a BAB 16 character, regardless of actual level.

By level 5, the attack speed feels natural. I wouldn't worry about it too much, I'd rather have a truly progressing attack speed than a bumpy road =)
