Default DDO Connection Failed: You Do Not Have The Current Version Of The Client Installed

    >>>This is a re-post of http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=192854<<<

[[Every time I log in and the game starts to load (before the character selection screen) I get this message:

    "Game error

    Connection failed:
You do not have the current version of the client installed"

Here is a screen shot of the error message: http://i25.tinypic.com/64j706.jpg

I've tried opening the Turbine Downloader, but it only states that the game is up to date

Do I have to manually update the game? (Like uninstalling it and reinstall it again?)]]

I am having the same problem. I have tried running a validate and repair but I receive the same error. I cannot find anywhere to manually download and update DDO so I am stuck with the option of Uninstalling and reinstalling... This is a type of problem that will make me stop playing if it continues to happen so I hope this issue is resolved soon. It is clear from my research that many people have had this issue in the past and are continuing to experience it.

PS- It doesn't have anything to do with the router because every person that has had the same issue has had a different router.

Yeah I was just about to post saying that uninstalling the turbine download manager and reinstalling it worked.

Reinstalled TDM, but it seems to be forcing me to download entire 4GB game again. Did they change directories from /lamnia/ to /stormreach/, as a result from the beta testing? That is why non-VIP are not having the issue? Really frustrating, I set up a time to play with non-VIP friends then this happens to the "VIP".

Okay, now it not only makes me download 4GB once, but looks like it is doing it again for some reason another 4GB wait, twice.

I'll be waiting for the Turbine Coins apology!

Same problem here, and I doubt I'll download the game again if thats the solution. Loved it's ability to spend money when I want and not pay monthly, hope they fix this.

    Default Fix the client issue

I fixed by changing the shortcut to this below. I am using Windows Vista 64-bit it so you will not need (x86) if you are on XP or not on 64-bit.

    TARGET: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Turbine\DDO Unlimited\dndlauncher.exe"

START IN: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Turbine\DDO Unlimited"

My client works just fine now from the shortcut.

I have no idea what to do. It says I do not have the "current client but I have the up-to-date version. I've heard to uninstall then reinstall but that would be a waiste of my day. What do I do!?
