I'm in the same boat. I redeemed a card five days ago. Still a free account and no answer to my emails. I'm writing the money off as a loss.
I'm also having the same problem. I emailed support and still have not gotten a response. I also talked to support on the phone Monday and was told by Tuesday I would have my VIP. Still nothing..
The Account Management department does have a longer than normal turn around at the moment due to the high volume they are currently experiencing. However, I put in a good word for the three of you, and you should be receiving emails with an update today.

and still not a VIP
I paid this morning too with a retail game card, and still no VIP yet.
I read some people had to wait 3 to 4 days. As usual business days I guess so we dont count weekend days so probably by the end of the next week.
