    Question Turbine points purchase issue

Hey guys! I'm relatively a new player in DDO and I'm still waiting for my client to fully download (done with Korthos Island). Since the premium stuff here is really good (shared bank slot, adventures, races and classes), I wanted to purchase some turbine points. However, it seems my (physical) location doesn't allow me to enjoy these privileges even if I pay with PayPal.

Am I really limited in enjoying this game all because I'm from the Philippines? I remember boxes of this game being sold in a well-known software shop here.

Not sure now if the OP means something elser to what I thought.

i'm saying: Don't pay with Paypal . Pay with Visa card which you can register in your turbine account.

    What are you saying?

Tried doing that by filing my card in my Turbine account. Still doesn't like me. I guess I'm pretty limited at this point.

I was saying that I was able to do international transactions ever since I got my card. This is actually linked to my... uh... source of income. :P

I think he might mean can you use a pre-paid Visa card or Mastercard? I'm fairly certain those are available in most places. I've used them when I've gotten them as gifts to pay my subscription.

Ok - strange as VISA worked for me - I wasn't aware of a geographical limitation to it. You will have to get better advice then i can give i'm afraid.

Ain't prepaid card here. I guess Turbine doesn't like my country... yet. I'll guess I have to wait. Haven't set foot on Stormreach yet! Client's taking a while to DL... :P

Thanks peeps. Appreciate all the help here.

You can also send visa details by fax or telephone. Account support area has more info on this.

    People in these countries:

United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and New Zealand

    Can use this site:

    http://www.paybycash.com/ddo/codelist.php

I've used it twice without any problem. They email you a code to enter on the Turbine Account page.

The best way is to use credit card to pay. Register your credit card with turbine. You'll need to either call them directly or fax the details of your credit card in order to register, as an international player. You can probably send a PM to CS representatives on forum and ask them details of how to do this. I know Victorie takes care these issues since he's replied to similar posts before. http://forums.ddo.com/member.php?u=212425

Good point. The pre-paid cards don't have name/addresses bound to them. Turbine requires that you use a card bound to a name/address. As mentioned above you can call them to set that up, and then go ahead and use the card on their site.

The greendot prepaid visas (and their walmart versions) allow you to bind a name/address to them.

Here's some info regarding cards in general, and prepaid cards specifically.
