    Default Warforged adaplate wizard.

I'm looking for spells that have no movement component if any. Because if it works at all like normal DnD (Laugh manically at that comment now.) such spells should have no chance of failure, regardless of the armor worn.

So what spells, if any, are there?

I don't think there are any. There isn't a still spell feat either. I think this was done for balancing issues.

Probably, else the norm would be Still Feat at lvl 1 for all wiz/sorc's and Full Plate.

    Check the compendium.

    Blur comes to mind.

Edit Just check the lvl 1 spells FF, and Master's Touch do not have a Somantic component. (Surprising about Master's Touch since touch is part of the name)

    Also double checked Blur....yep

But you'll have to read through them all and make a list.

    But there are very few.

There are quite a few spells that dont require a ASF Check.. Unfortunatly, most of the really useful spells do.

I think a better direction for this thread wouldbe WHY adamantine plating on a Wizard?

Gish = Fighting Arcane Caster. "Battle mage", "Edritch Knight" or the "Arcane Psycho" build in these parts.

It's possible to have WF with adamantine body or an Elf in Full Plate in the endgame scenario. WF get an ASF reduction enhancement line, as do Elves. Docents come with an "Arcane Sigil" enhancement to further reduce it on the WF, and Full Plate can be mithral with a Twilight enhancement. In both cases, you also need the gloves from the Titan raid for another -10% ASF.

I worked out the math on it once upon a time, and I could never get below 5% ASF in adamantine body or in full plate if I remember correctly.

    AH, Thank you....

Most melee casters make the most out of the base composit plating or use Mithral since it isnt difficult to get up to a +5 Dex.

Adamantine Body = 35% Arcane Spell Failure

-15% : 6 AP WF Armored Casting enhancements
-10% : Arcane Sigil Docent OR Arcane Sigil on Sovereign Rune of DT Armor
    - 5% : Fanged Gloves (+5 Str as well)

That puts you at 5% arcane spell failure in Ady body. You can get that to 0% with 7-fingered gloves (-10% ASF) from the Titan Raid.

My bard runs around in plate and tower, and have made a pal/sorc the same way a few times. Off the top of my head:

any divine scroll, wail of the banshee, blur, displacement, featherfall, focusing chant, blindness, shout, all ottos variants, suggestion, mass suggestion, dimension door, teleport, greater teleport, knock, disjunction
