New players looking for like minded folks.

My and my friend are kinda new to DDO we are both long time pen and paper players that joined up right before the FTP launch and liked it enough to go VIP. We do come from a WoW background, (I know thats the devil here) but we basically lost interest in raiding shortly after the wrath expansion. We tried LotRO, and while that is a fun game in its own right we ended up here because we really enjoy the 3.0/3.5rules of DnD, and having moved further away than is possible to realistically play PnP this is giving us a much needed, if digital, dice rolling fix.

We have done a little bit of grouping and through the miracle that is the scaling bug decided that it would be best to just duo for now. That being said this is a game that seems designed around grouping and i would like to take this time to ask about some of the guilds here, and say what we are looking for.

We are what you would call hard core players with a casual mindset. We play most days 3-4 hours a day longer on weekends. We like taking our time through the dungeons at the moment, but could see where zerging would be the right call when you know them better. Its just the first few times its nice to soak in the atmosphere instead of just rushing to the end.

We both have a fair grasp of the PnP rules, and are starting to get a hold of the DDO differences. Both of us are older players with wives kids, and all the joys, and pains that go with them. We are laid back and like to have a good time. We dont like to stress when things go wrong in a dungeon or point fingers, just figure out what went wrong fix it, and move on.

We are looking for a guild that can both help teach a new player a thing or two, but still be there when it is time to get into the serious stuff. We are the kind of players that will want to beat all of the content available to us, and will go out of our way to make that happen.

I think most guilds would welcome players with your mindset with open arms.. Just start grouping with people and see who you like to run with.. Guildless Guild is great with both helping new players, and running high lvl content..As are other guilds like the Loreseekers..The best way to see if a guild is a good fit is to look at peoples tags when you group with them and see if you enjoy their company.
