I'm reading about the skills Search & Spot. I know in Spot it helps you detect trap, doors... But isn't Search the same or does Search allows you discover those.
Just a little confused...???

Spot will allow you to know something is there, the exception being invisible creatures, 20 Spot is enough to see anyone under the effect of the spell 'Invisibility'

Spot is a passive ability, while Search takes a few seconds while your character sits still and scans the area around him.
Spot is good for seeing enemies at a distance (think ice spiders on Korthos) and detecing secret doors/traps that can then be revealed with a Search.

Just a note here: rogues get trapfinding.
Only rogues can find traps with a search DC of 20+.
One exception is the cleric spell Find traps, but I have never used it in DDO...BLACK MANTIS - Sarlona
