    Default Stabilization indicator

One of my party members lies down on the floor, unconscious and bleeding. I'm using my Heal skill on him attempting to stabilize him. But i have no way to know if my healing does something or not. The only option i have is to keep healing (and diminishing my limited supply of healing kits) until he dies or recovers.
Maybe i've missed some UI element that tells me about that?
Asking the party member himself is not an option.

Have you put them in the recovery position?

    theres a die roll
if you succeed that roll (dont know exactly what the dc is but it might be 15+what your member is in negative) he gets back to 1hp
    otherwise he keeps bleeding

also note: spells which give temporary hp are also good to get members back up. thats why the bracers of assistance from korthos are nice to have

You get a skillcheck, I believe (check the dice). However, I generally just use a CLW clickie or something like that instead of my heal skill so I'm not quite sure.

Thank you, i know the mechanics. My question is not about 'how it works'. My question is about 'how do i know whether it worked or not'.

I want to know this too. Whenever I get KO'ed my brothers keep healing on me until I tell them it's worked.

As that poster said...if it worked, he now has 1hp and is standing up again.

FYI - Run the Cannith Crystal quest on Korthos.. One of the end-rewards is "Bracers of Assistance" which can cast Aid once per rest... Aid gives a person 11 temporary hit points.

I use that to bring some one back up from unconcious (But they got to heal themselves... those 11 temp hps only last for 3 minutes)

I dunno, maybe I misremember too...been a long time since I used it. Coulda swore it put them at 1hp and they got up. It didn't just stabilize them, and then you'd have to wait around for them to heal I guess...I feel like I woulda remembered that...? Oh well.

Thank You, I Know The Mechanics. My Question Is Not About 'how It Works'. My Question Is About 'how Do I Know Whether It Worked Or Not'. and He Told You, Check The Die Roll And It Will Tell You If You Succeeded Or Not. Oh, Or You Could Ask The Person You Are Helping...

Thanks For The Advice, I'll Try.

Yup, the absolute best option for non healers at low level. Rage works well for those who can cast it as well.
