    Question Character Transfers...

Will we ever see character transfers become available to Cannith. I can understand the no transfer idea at the moment, but will we ever see it on down the road? Maybe a level limit could be a compromise until then? Anyway, Cannith is fun, and I was just wondering.

One of the key reasons Cannith is fun is because character transfers are not available.

Yeah I understand this. Just wondering if at some point they could become available, or a level cap transfer to compromise. I'm liking the newness of it as well.

lol, not at all. I don't mind grinding for improvement. I just really like this new server and wish there was a way to get some existing characters over there, but I understand the other viewpoint as well. Was just wondering if anyone had some insight really. Maybe a level cap and limit of character that comes over? I don't know. Just a thought. I also don't mind grinding out favor for 32 points and earning it, even though my time is reallly limited this semester. I just don't want to lose all my other characters to obscurity if I take the plunge.

That is a good question. For one I hope it is a while still until they allow character transfers. That is just my want though, I have no insight and would like to know Turbine's answer to this question.

I hope transfers will never be authorized to Cannith. (and I have 5 lvl 16 toons on Khyber, a ton of ingredients, a lot of stuff.)

What if it was a compromise where you couldn't bring any loot or money with you? Just your bare naked characters? I understand the other side of the coin, and I may just have to lose my old characters if I decide on Cannith and can't do any transfers, but if there's any way to get them over without ruining balance it would be nice.

I'm just gonna start over on Cannith and get drow then 1750. Thanks all for the insight, and didn't mean to ruffle any feathers.

Default I hate to stir up a ruckus...

    Hiya folks.

I was hoping to get some Dev feedback on this ever being a possiblity. The newness of Cannith has finally wanned some and it is becoming a strong healthy community. I am deciding on which character type to roll next and this question popped into my head; Will this ever be available? I really dont want to go rolling specific Character builds i have on other servers, however my guild is in need of Specific Build types (AC tanks/ dps ranger/ shroud bard etc) IF the CharTransfer option will be available in the future. If so, id rather focus on a completionist build or the like.

I love the idea a Cannith, and it has been/is nothing less than stellar. I just wish i knew a definite answer to this question.

    Any confermation would be appreiciated,
    mba.

I for one hope they will never open up transfering characters to cannith. i am rather enjoying actually taking things out the chest because im broke instead of running past all the chests and power leveling

I'm kinda confused...why is transferring characters to different servers a bad thing?

A bunch of my friends IRL are on Cannith. I hadn't played in a couple of years but still have a level 10 on Ghallanda...want to be able to move him over and play, but now have to waste time leveling up to my friends' level. What's the point? Do character transfers screw up the economy or something?

IMHO, I don't see what the big deal is unless you're getting killed in a PvP area or something. Can someone enlighten me?

    Thanks

If most of us were allowed to transfer characters over to that server, we could take enough ingredients with us to outfit an army in greensteel. Not to mention the tomes, plat and other gear. Just 1 player could unbalance the entire server or at the very least, twink out his entire guild.

That guild would be the most powerful guild on the server.

I hope they never open it up to transfers................. would be like peeing in a brand new pool.
