Default Seeking a guild (willing to create on any server)

    I. I am still new to the game
Two years ago I started playing DDO at the request of an old tabletop buddy who moved away. A week after I started playing however, he left me to my lonesome. Two weeks after I started the game, having grown tired of playing the game on my own for a week, I left DDO to pursue other interests. Tabletop RPing, Sims, and Pokémon. (Shh, I'm a girl so I'm allowed to like Pokémon even though I'm over 20!)

II. My play schedule is flexible
I log on rather sporadically, though often I end up being a night owl. I would adjust to the play schedule of my guild (making sure I am up during the guild's 'prime time' of playing.) I live in the Central Time Zone... if that matters.

    III. A Min/Maxer I am not
I do try to make my character as effective as I can, but I do not go so far as to calculate every little thing or pick a race/class combination that is by far superior than the rest. Min/Maxing has always made me a little itchy having grown up with AD&D (or 2nd Edition) and being rewarded for creativity/roleplay. This does not mean I'd take a feat and ruin my effectiveness just for the sake of RP (example; I wouldn't pick up an exotic weapon feat just so my FoS matches some askew image in my mind.)

IV. Seeking a guild, will travel
I will be honest. My current highest class is 1/2 (Rogue/Cleric Illorea). I decided I wanted to be a pure Healbot and went with FoS for a reason I no longer remember. I am not 'established' on the server I currently play on and will be more than happy to switch to a guild willing to put a novice under their wings and not shove the novice out of the nest.

    V. I do have qualifications
    a. Aside from playing Pokémon, I can be considered mature.
    b. I want to be a Healbot, and know I can heal well once I get the hang of the game.
    c. I am willing to take advice on my class.
    d. My familiarity with 3.5 is decient (though I never played it much at all, preferring AD&D)
    e. One of my desires for a guild is a stable group of people to group with.

    V. Why I should choose you
There are some requirements on my end. Rather... I am looking for a few key points in potential guilds.
    a. Able, and willing to aid a novice player
    1. Giving advice
    2. Answering questions
    3. Not laughing too hard or yelling to loud when I do something completely stupid

    b. Occasional raids, either currently or plans to. (I would not expect to take part in such things until I get up to par via skills/equipment.)
    c. You don't 'require' the use of a headset. (I currently don't have one, and won't be able to afford one till Jan/Feb. I can listen, just not speakith)

    Summery
Characters I play: Illorea (1/2 rogue/cleric) | Valorea (2 FoS) Both are on Sarlona.
I am more than willing to answer any questions I didn't cover. I am eager to learn the game properly and willing to put in the dedication to learn how to be a proper Healbot. Grouping is my main concern though I also wish to be able to aid the guild with my full potential.

Default We are currently seeking an expert treasure hunter...

We are currently seeking an expert treasure hunter... (or one that convinced us of that )

We seem to have trouble keeping a rogue alive , ahem employed in our Thursday Night Medium Roleplay Static Group. The slot is still likely currently in an open state.

    Every Thursday Night.

...You don't 'require' the use of a headset...
Are you a Roleplayer most RP groups use Text Chat

    ...aid a novice player...
We are a nonzerg, slower pace RP team.. The new player scouting in front will help keep us moving slow and cautious anyway.

    .. Illorea (1/2 rogue/cleric) | Valorea (2 FoS) Both are on Sarlona..
Our group is Lev 5 so Illorea could fit in!

    ...proper Healbot...
We have a cleric ( me - my first trust me I don't know what's proper) and a Favored Soul but more healing the better. For the groups benefit we would like you to keep some ranks in trap/disable and open locks but you don't need to be an expert at anything. Its more about the challenge and Roleplay.
Follow the signature link and then select the Thurs Medium RP group - perhaps we can find a home for one of your ALTs?

Hi, I'm Jeynks, representing Knights of Blackmoore.

    I. I am still new to the game
A large portion of our members are new to the game, or returning from extended aways (2+ years in some cases), so those of us who know, spend alot of time giving advice... except when we don't know, in which case either we all learn together, or we all spend some time searching for the answer, so we can give it :P

II. My play schedule is flexible
We generally have players on at all kinds of hours of the day and night, 8pmish eastern until about 1 or 2am eastern is our busiest time, but even during the off hours you can find people hanging around putting groups togehter.

    III. A Min/Maxer I am not
As I stated, most of our player base is new, so even if they wanted to min/max they wouldn't know how yet. That being said, we all tend to agree that having fun with your character and playing them the way you want is more important than being the perfectly optimized character.

IV. Seeking a guild, will travel
Come to Thelanis! The water's great and the sun is always shiny! .... except in Korthos... and maybe one or two other places...

    V. I do have qualifications
But do you have an awesome sense of humor?

    V. Why I should choose you

I think I already answered A-1 and A-2, A-3 is a little more complicated, so bear with me for story time. I play a rogue/ranger. I've got more ranger levels than rogue levels, but I've kept my rogue skills max leveled, so I'm at the same place as a pure rogue for disabling traps, opening locks, etc. That being said I was in a guild group that was a couple levels higher than me, in a quest, on elite. I went to disable a trap, and the entire group was crowded around me waiting to move past the trap. Most of us were below 50% health. I blew up the trapbox and wiped half the party. The laughter over voice could have deafened someone. Course, I was laughing too. Last night one of our guys pulled the valve in a quest with a room where... pulling the valve sets off dozens of fire traps at once. (The words "Don't worry guys, I've got a really high reflex save" have become synonymous with death after that). He was the first one laughing when he died. So yeah... we all do some bonehead moves, mess up, and do something stupid (you know, no one stands close to me when I'm disarming traps anymore) but we learn from it, laugh together and move on. But we do tend to laugh pretty hard :P

As for B -- We just started raiding last night Tempest Spine.... yeah.. it's kind of a newbie raid... but we're kind of a newbie guild... so it works out

C -- We don't currently require that people be able to speak to us... the fact that you can hear us is enough (and we really only care about that so we can give instruction, and in a couple cases with some folks we pug with semi-regularly we have to type to them anyway... so it all works out).

Now... having answered your specific concerns I'm gonna go ahead and drop in the little pat message I give everyone, and say Knights of Blackmoore; come for the xp, stay for the tacos!

    Some information about the guild....
Knights of Blackmoore is a new player friendly guild. That being said, we also love our veteran players, and returning players. However, we do have a few policies we try to stick by. Take it slow. Whether you're a new player, an old player, or a returning player, don't blast through a quest just for completion. There may be other people in the party that haven't run the quest a thousand times, and don't know it as well as you do. It's fun for everyone to explore the quest, learn where things are, or why certain things are done certain ways. We also aim for all the optionals in a quest (At least, those we're capable of...). We do no not tolerate zerging. New players, and people who want to explore simply don't have any fun with that kind of playstyle. Blackmoore style, all optionals, kill anything that moves, and if it doesn't move, poke it until it does... then kill it.

We have a functional website, though right now it's not getting much use, its kind of under construction. Vent is something that is being discussed, and will one day be implemented.

If interested in a guild that likes to run together, takes things a little slower, explores quests, doesn't zerg, and generally tries to help one another learn the game, check the who Tab on Thelanis and see if anyone's on, they can direct you to an officer. We'd love to run with you!

Kill anything that moves, and if it doesn't move, poke it until it does, then ... kill it! -- Knights of Blackmoore official unofficial motto.

    Idunn,

Hope you contact me or another guild member in the game.

I promise you that the thrill you got from PNP can be found when you group with other players who play a hard core Permadeath style. We thrive on teamwork.
