when i launch ddo i cant see the whole screen

not sure how else to explain it, but for some reason I'm unable to view the whole screen. I can't create a character or anything because I only see like a quarter of the screen. What's the deal?

use a lower resolution?
if your monitor only makes 1024x860 and you run ddo at 1280x1024 then ofc you wont see all of it^^

i figured that, but how do i change it if i cant run the game to get to options

You can try going to the Properties of the DDO client (shortcut) and check the compatibility. Try running it in 640 x 480. Maby that will get it so u can get into the game options and set a better res, then go back out and uncheck the 640 x 480.

just tried setting res to 6xx by 4xx and when i launch, still have same problem

Try to run DDO in window mode, maby that will get you to see enough of the screen to change the video option res in game. Go to the properties of the DDO shortcut, and on the shortcut tab in the "Target" field type -w. It has to be at the end of whats already entered in that field outside the quotation marks, also you need to leave a Space between whats already in there and -w.
