Files not installing - Error 201

First of all, if you're going to post saying, "There's a sticky on that. Look at it," then here am I saying that is not relevant to me. Read over the sticky: it is talking about an error with TDM. I am not downloading via TDM. I'm using standard.

Okay, so here's my story: I recently decided to start playing since it became free. I went to start downloading. I first used TDM. However, it would not start downloading. It just said "Download Pending" for hours and hours. It did not say it was paused f.y.i.

So, I then stopped it from downloading, exited out of it, and decided to try downloading standard. During the installation phase, I got a pop-up saying that a certain file could not be copied because the source file was corrupt. I clicked retry over and over, and it persisted. So, I clicked ignore. There were actually multiple files that wouldn't work: client_surface.dat, client_sound.dat, and a couple others. They all insisted on not working, so I kept doing ignore. When I booted up the game, I got error 201 after trying to join a server. Since then, I've tried many different strategies to get it to work: turning off anti-virus stuff, clean booting, re-downloading the installer, using repair, doing hi-res, and just installing over and over. So far, everything has given the exact same result: Error 201 after the supposed source file corruption.

Also, I recently attempted to do TDM download again, however whenever I open it, I see it minimized on the bottom for a second, then it disappears.

So, any ideas of what's wrong and how to fix it?

Okay, after some re-download/install, I only am missing two files: client_sound.dat and client_mesh.dat. Is there anyway I can just download these two files?
