Default DDO launcher or log-in screen not there.

Yeah well I got a problem with DDO, and i was wondering why I can't find the **** launcher to Launch the game. I did play after the setup was done but it was only once, Yes i have installed it, yes I even did it three times. And yes i looked in the control panel alrdy but the launcher I still can't find it anyone got any idea on where it went? or do i need to download somthing else? or is the file name named differently? (oh and im using vidta home premium, but im not sure if thats got anything to do with it.) And if you asked my to look in the windows explorer and type down, "Turbine" it doesn't excist or atleast cant be found on any of my hard drives.

    Hey guys!

I figured out how to fix this. Go to your Program files (where the game is saved to) and you will find a thing that says DDO Launcher. Right click it, and put it as a shortcut. Then drag that to your desktop and Voila!! You have a launcher!!

    good luck!

Default no launcher as far as i can tell

I have searched my computer and there is no launcher on it for the game, however, I can play if i run the setup as administrator and it does the repair option. The whole process takes about 10mins though and still does not leave a launcher anywhere, i really dont want to have to wait that long each time i want to log in. Does anyone know what I should do? I have downloaded all 3 types of the game, the fast one, the standard one and the high resolution one and still i have the same problem. Help plz

    Angry Missing Icon

I have had similar problems repeatedly with my lauch icon disappearing from task bar, and i never had one installed on desktop. I am not sure if its a windows vista issue, but i just got the computer, hp elite, three days ago brand new, and installed whole game two days ago, so i doubt its the computer. What gives ddo tech? i am completely new to pc gaming and this is beginning to be such an irritation, its no wonder i have stuck to console gaming...

Default Here is where you can go to Find instructions on the Launcher Issue

Here is the link you can go to to find out how to get you DDO Launcher on to your desk top.

    http://www.ddo.com/ddogameinfo/quickstart-guide?start=2

Look under the starting the game option.

    Default Missing Launcher

I swear to god if someone says go find that sht manually again ima go and shoot ppl. I'm on the side of the fence with everyone else who knows how to use computers and has already sifted through their folders for anything remotely close to DDO launcher. Idiots when they said ddo setup on desktop they meant by that what i mean. I HAVE SEARCHED WHOLE COMPUTER AND ONLY THING ON HERE IS DDO SETUP (WHICH IS LOCATED ON DESKTOP AND FOLDER FILES) BUT NO DDO LAUNCHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ah yes and i too found acess through constantly hitting repair each time. (which i found fizzles and has to be donw twice) I've spent two days on this and im close to saying ddo has my money why not say ta hell wit us. Spite. Dangut. Anyone found and resolve??? The log on thing faster than repair TY. ALAS I HAVE FOUND A CURE!!!!!!!!! Sorry for idiot thing but u gave me idea!!!! WHILE DDO IS DOING REPAIR GO INTO FOLDERS MANUALLY AND ITS THERE< DRAG THE LAUNCHER ICON WHILE ITS REPAIRING TO MAKE SHORTCUT BEFORE IT GETS EATEN!!! YES WHILE REPAIRING CLICK, C DRIVE, program files, turbine, DDO UNLIMITED FOLDER, AND in this folder lies many program data files but just find the launcher and make the shortcut before repair completes, u may see files moving about before u make shortcut but this is fine ihve had no troubles yet....

The first option here details launching the game in Vista/Win7.

Due to requirements from Microsoft when installed on Vista/Win7 the game creates its icon in the "Games" panel (accessable from the start menu).
