    Question Help with my project: Survivor Cleric

    I am looking for a dex-based cleric, that needs to be able to solo. BattleClerics seem to be too cookie cutter. I know a Bard would also be a good fit for what I want to accomplish, but I like the Cleric spell selection better.

    Here is what I am looking for:

    1. Max 2 levels of non Cleric, or can be pure cleric but I think I might need to splash something to get what I want (just not sure what)
    2. Must be able to hit things. I don't care that it is not the highest DPS tank out there (naturally), but I do want the weapon to connect enough for me to escape if I get mobed.
    3. Must be able to get hit. I want to be able to still be standing after a surprise hit or two, without buffs in place. And from what I can tell late game is you cant depend on Full Plate to give you that sort of protection. So a dex based defense would be preferred. (But I could be very wrong about this; please correct me if I am)
    4. Must be able to have some basic skills: Concentration, Jumping, Hiding/Move Silently and Tumble required. Haggle, UMD are highly sought seconds.
    5. Is a caster first and foremost.
    6. This is a 28 point, no Tomes build.

    Yeah, I know I cant have it all but there must be something that can come close. I'm thinking a Ranger 2/ Cleric 18 build will work, and following along the lines of Impaqt's Rouge/Cleric build but I cant seem to figure out the right balance of feats and Enhancements. I'm still really new to DDO; The last DD game I did was NWN2.

    Is Drow an option for you?

    18 Clr / 2 Mnk dual-wielding Rapiers and Cleric Divine Might could pump out some decent damage. You won't be centered, so no monk paths unless you swap to kamas, etc.

    I dont have Monk, FvS or Drow unlocked yet. And I'm sort of set on being human. I promise I'm not trying to be difficult, but is certainly a challange.

    Heavy armor or high DEX with robes, doesnt matter. AC is AC. Regardless of how you got there. There is only AC, and no such thing as a DEX-based defense in contrast with armor-based defense.

    Actually a Bard would fulfill your requirements much better than a Cleric. Bards get all the skills you would like to have, they get good defense in form of self-cast Displacement, can use Stoneskin wands to keep DR 10 all the time through UMD.
    They have nice CC spells, healing capabilities and are able to fight properly. .


    A rough proposal along this lines:

    Bard 20, Spellinger PrE.

    Strength 14
    Dexterity 10
    Constitution 14
    Intelligence 12
    Wisdom 8
    Charisma 16 (all level ups in here)




    Buff yourself with the Master´s Touch spell and use a nice 2-handed-weapon once you get Displacement. Before that use Rapiers / Shortswords / Longswords and Mitril Shields.

    Feats:
    1: Thoughness
    3: Extend,
    6: SF: Enchantment
    9: Heighten
    12: Greater Spell Focus: Enchantment
    15: Spell Penetration
    18: Greater Spell Pen
    Erzskalde (Warchanter) / Erzassassin (just passing through - ignore me) / Erzsoldat (waiting for TR-time) / Erzschmied (ranged Artificer)

    Yeah, I figured on that, but I'll go for a power Bard build when I can unlock Drow and 32 point builds. But you are right in that it would be a better fit overall. Still want to try this though. Will most likely post my Char build idea sometime tomorrow.
