Default Request: Revert "Use/Interact" to how it used to work

With DDO:EU, there was a change to how use/interact works. Previously, so long as I had something in my focus orb (such as a collectible drop) and was within range of it, I could press 'U' to pull the collectible out of the bag.

This has now been changed so that your cursor or your target circle must be on the object in order to use it. This is probably no big deal to those who only occasionally use mouselook, as they can move their cursor without moving their character... but it has really hosed those who almost exclusively use mouselook. I now have to stop, look down, make sure the target circle is directly on the bag, then press 'U'.

This is a major annoyance with ripple effects that aren't immediately obvious. For example, consider part three of the shroud. Trying to get water from the fountain is a royal pain in the ass now.

    Please change this back!

Earlier today, I was able to pull levers in mouselook using U, without having the reticle on the lever. Perhaps you didn't have the interactible 'hard targeted'? I'm not sure if hard vs. soft targeting makes a difference, but I haven't noticed any change and I run almost exclusively in mouselook. (I have turned of 'auto-targeting' and have 'backspace' keyed to my mousewheel left/right for easy targeting).

That is often true, but not always. I don't have advice to fix it aside from "mess with all the UI options".

PS. I don't believe all the UI options are all working as they claim, soft-targeting in particular.

I'm actually loving how the soft targeting works with interacting. I swing around using mouse look getting the collectible in the orb, don't get anything else soft targeted, scoop up the collectible while running by without missing a step. In fact, the only reason I still have the soft targeting on is because I love the drive by aspect of it. I mean, it's not really that different from before (I have interact tied to f and use tied to r) so I could do the drive by before as well, but for some reason the soft target seems more smooth to me.

I haven't had to have the cursor on the object or have it hard targeted in order to use the object. I just look at it with mouse look, it appears in the orb, and use. And when getting water I used to just hit interact until the fountain popped in the orb, and now it's a matter of doing that, or getting my perspective right to get the fountain soft targeted. No biggie.

Sorry, but I'm just not seeing the problem, and I exclusively use mouse look. Is there something else I'm missing?

I don't use (or, at least, have attempted to disable as much as I can) the new targeting system. It seems entirely possible to me that one of the reasons this was overlooked is because soft targeting fills in the gaps somehow.

I'll continue messing with UI options and see if I can get it to change (without any of this soft targeting BS, that bugs the bejeezus out of me)
