Im somewhat new around here and I notice there is a locked chest I can NOT get to in what feels like every dungeon - maybe every other dungeon.
Is this just part of the game designed to give rogues a point in life or am I just missing where to find keys all the time?

need a rogue or a caster with the knock spell.

This is somewhat common through about L10 or so. After that it isn't so common. A caster w/ Knock can also open them or someone w/ a Knock wand (beyond early stuff, you'll need one with a higher caster level).
