    Default Fireball fail

50% of the time I shoot a fireball it does no damage or damage to 1-2 mobs even though there are a bunch in radius. I've read that there is an issue if you target a mob and the fireball hits something else (or an ally) that nothing happens.

I've been trying to avoid targeting and shooting the fireball into the area but I think that the new mod9 autotarget is making this moot. Any tips on how I can avoid fail fireballs?

fireballs are tough to learn to aim- in particular, do not shoot them at very close point-blank range.

if the fireball appears inside the mob when it leaves your hand, it doesnt work properly

also, try aiming at teh floors in front of mobs insteado f their heads, that will also increase your accuracy.
